Our Classic Beech Bunk Beds are made from solid beech hardwood as opposed to pine (which is a soft wood with knots). They are undeniably strong and durable providing many years of confident service. The beechwood substrate also provides a good foundation for a lovely paint finish – and there aren’t the problems of “knot bleeding” and discolouration you get over time with painted pine.
