Frrrniture Bunny Chair

Description

This range of children’s play chairs and tables combine contemporary and artisan production techniques with playful representations of familiar animals. The intent was – and is – immediate recognition by children and who can introduce the characters to their play time and storytelling. The ambition was rewarded by a Reddot design award in 2017.

The product was developed in Slovenia and is manufactured there using locally sourced, natural materials. The main construction is beech plywood providing strength and endurance and finished with a palette of stains (you still see the grain of the wood) over which is screen printed the character. The product is sealed with a water based, transparent finish. Part of the design integrity is that it is very easy to assemble.
